New Trier Vaccine Appointments Still Available Those 16 And Up

Appointments for first doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine Wednesday are open to all Illinois residents ages 16 or older.

NORTHFIELD, IL — Appointments remained available Tuesday afternoon for appointments to receive Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines at New Trier High School's Northfield campus Wednesday.

Timeslots were open between 10 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. for all Illinois residents aged 16 and over in the gymnasium at the 7 Happ Road campus.

Second doses will be scheduled for May 19. Only people who have not yet received a first dose are eligible.

Vaccination appointments for Wednesday's clinic must be booked online.

Instructions on signing up through the Illinois Department of Public Health portal are also available online.

Public health officials asked everyone with an appointment to bring their ID card and insurance card, although no one will be turned away for lack of insurance. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The site is staffed by municipal staff from Glencoe, Glenview, Kenilworth, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Niles, Northbrook, Northfield, Park Ridge, Prospect Heights, Wilmette and Winnetka, with doses provided by Cook County Health.

Last Wednesday, the site was scheduled administer 900 first doses.
