Pickup Safety Kits Curbside At Woodridge Public Library

To get a safety kit​, head to the Woodridge Public Library and park in a Curbside Pickup space, then call or text the posted phone number.

WOODRIDGE, IL — The Woodridge Public Library is offering some healthy help for community members, including free COVID-19 safety kits. According to a news release sent to Patch, the kits were funded by the DuPage Health Department, and include a child or an adult size mask and hand sanitizer. According to the library, kits are available while supplies last.

To get a safety kit, head to the library and park in a Curbside Pickup space, then call or text the posted phone number to request kits for your household. Staff will deliver kits to your car, the Library added.

  • Monday through Friday: 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday 1 to 4:30 p.m.

Next month, the library is offering a virtual program for those who don't like when food is wasted or expired, and are looking to save money.

The program, "Save Money with an Organized Kitchen," will take place online from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Jan. 12.

According to the news release, the program will be presented by Colleen Klimczak, an Adjunct Professor at Moraine Valley and a Certified Professional Organizer. Klimczak will offer smart and effective tips for organizing your kitchen to save time and money, in addition to slashing food waste. There will also be tips for making kitchen spaces more functional, exploring menu planning and savvy shopping.

"You'll leave this program inspired and ready to make your kitchen work for you," the news release stated.

Registration ends 30 minutes before the program starts, according to the news release. Pre-register online, and the library will send you a Zoom link for the program.

In addition, the library reminds community members that outdoor book returns will remain open during the holidays, but Curbside Pickup will be closed on Dec. 24, 25 and Jan. 1. The library added that they'll be closing early on New Year's Eve (Dec. 31) at 5 p.m.
