Public Hearing On Ivy Tech Tuition And Mandatory Fees Set For May 27

The proposed tuition rates will be presented to the State Board of Trustees during the June meeting.

Ivy Tech Community College will conduct a public hearing concerning its proposed tuition and mandatory fee rate at 9:30 am on Thursday, May 27, 2021 in the Johnson Community Room (room 101) on the first floor of the Illinois Fall Creek Center building at Ivy Tech’s Indianapolis Campus, located at 2535 N Capitol Ave, Indianapolis.

This hearing will provide the public the opportunity to comment on proposed student tuition and mandatory fee increases for the academic years 2021‐2022 and 2022‐2023.

The proposed tuition rate for 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 Fall, Spring and Summer semesters remains the same as 2020-2021 for in-state tuition at $149.55 per credit hour for students taking fewer than 12 credit hours per semester. Students taking 12 or more credit hours per semester will pay a flat rate of $2,243.25 for 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.

The proposed tuition rate for 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 Fall, Spring and Summer semesters for out-of-state tuition remains at the 2020-2021 rate of $292.57per credit hour for students taking fewer than 12 credit hours. Students taking 12 or more credit hours per semester will pay a flat rate of $4,388.55 for 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.

For 2021-2022 and 2022-2023, Ivy Tech is proposing a textbook/course material fee of $19 per credit hour. Students will have the option to opt out of the textbook fee on a per semester basis. The technology fee for both academic years will remain flat at $75 per semester. Ivy Tech remains the lowest tuition in the state of Indiana with the lowest overall cost of attendance.
