University Of Southern Indiana Students Win College Broadcasters, Incorporated Awards On Behalf Of '95.7 The Spin'

The competition featured over 1,000 entries in 25 categories and consisted of content created by campus media outlets and for class credit.

Students representing 95.7 The Spin, the University of Southern Indiana student-run radio station, received four awards in the 2021 College Broadcasters, Incorporated (CBI) National Student Production Awards competition.

The competition featured over 1,000 entries in 25 categories and consisted of content created by campus media outlets and for class credit. Awards were announced at the 2021 National Student Electronic Media Convention, held online due to COVID-19 precautions.

  • Dell Cripe – First Place, Best Radio PSA (CMOE Summer Camps, Becca Lanham copywriter)
  • Tyler Huyser, Marina Current, Noah Fisher – Second Place, Best Radio PSA (WWII Plane Rides, Becca Lanham copywriter)
  • Michael Rust – Second Place, Best Radio Sports Reporting (Intramural Sports COVID)
  • Cole Carter – Second Place, Best Radio Sports Play-by-Play (USI vs. William Jewell)
