GT South's Rib House Abruptly Shuts Down After 25 Years

Hundreds express sadness and disappointment after GT South's Rib House posts Facebook announcement saying it's closing after 25 years.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Barbecue lovers across Indianapolis aren't too happy to hear a popular northeast restaurant, GT South's Rib House, has shut its doors. In a Facebook post Wednesday afternoon, the East 71st Street restaurant announced it would be closing that night after 25 years in business. The Facebook post includes a long message of thanks:

More than 400 people have reacted to the surprising post, and hundreds have shared and commented.

"This makes me so sad," Brittany Smiley commented on GT South's Facebook post. "Best bbq in Indy. I've lived here for seven years, tried tons of places around the state, nothing compares to you guys."
