Here are the top three stories today in Indianapolis:

  1. A driver is in police custody after engaging in a chase that started near IU Methodist Hospital Wednesday morning. Just before 7:00 a.m. in the area of W. 16th Street and N. Senate Avenue, police were called due to reports of a driver pointing a firearm at other drivers and blocking traffic. When police spotted the car, the driver took off before crashing into a barricade. (FOX 59 Indianapolis)
  2. A missing Indianapolis couple was found on Tuesday in the mountains of Nevada. The couple, Ronnie and Beverly Barker, had been missing for more than a week when their RV was found stuck in the mud. According to the family, Ronnie has died and Beverly is being treated in Reno. (US 93.3)
  3. Indianapolis will be getting more than $25 million in funding to support transit services. With this new funding, transit agencies will be able to buy new buses and railcars, address their repair backlogs, modernize their fleets, and transition to new technologies to address the climate crisis. The city will receive funding through the U.S. Department of Transportation due to the infrastructure law. (CBS 4 Indianapolis)
