Here are the top three stories today in Indianapolis:

  1. More than 400 people gathered to remember the eight individuals who were killed at an Indianapolis FedEx facility last year. The service was hosted by the Immigrant Welcome Center and the Sikh Satsang of Indianapolis. The organizers stressed the importance of community and remembrance. (WFYI)
  2. A local birthday party turned deadly Sunday morning when six people were shot. One man is dead and five were wounded after the incident, which reportedly took place at an event center in the 4200 block of West 38th Street near Lafayette Road. Indianapolis police are asking anyone with information to come forward. (FOX 59 Indianapolis)
  3. Families were encouraged to visit the first-ever Indianapolis Public Schools high school fair on Saturday. Students were encouraged to find their best fit for high schools across Indianapolis and had the chance to win over $2,000 in raffle prizes at the event. (FOX 59 Indianapolis)

  • Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department invited local media members to watch a use of force training given to police officers.
