- A deadly shooting occurred in the Seventh Ward late Wednesday morning. Police arrived at the scene on Allen Street around 11:20 a.m. where a man was found fatally shot. He was declared dead at the scene. (FOX 8 Local First)
- The Secretary of State has apparently ruled 25,000 voters as inactive, meaning the number of signatures needed to trigger the mayor recall should be lower than before. - A car chase involving a Jefferson Parish Sherrif's office car culminated in a crash on Wednesday morning that left three deputies hurt and ultimately two suspects arrested. At least on vehicle collided with a JPSO patrol car on an I-10 service road in Metairie around 3:30 a.m., but the reason for the chase has not been released. (WWLTV.com)
