  1. The New Orleans City Council has requested that the inspector general investigate the fraud case that is currently pending against Officer Jeffery Vappie, former security detail member of Mayor Cantrell. The city council is curious how details of his investigation were leaked and made it to the Atonery Generals office, who is not linked to the Public Integrity Bureau that is conducting the Vappie investigation.   2. Three people were shot in three separate shootings across New Orleans on Sunday. The incidents took place on Piety, Grant and Bullard streets, all leaving one male victim who was taken to the hospital. There is no current word on any of the victim's conditions.
  3. The NOLA Coalition launched a NOPD recruitment dashboard in hopes of raising the police force's historically low numbers and retention rates of recent. The website is tracking numbers and trends of recruitment and retention, monitoring the current goal of adding 150 officers to the force by 2023. (WGNO New Orleans)
