New Orleans Police Investigate Algiers Shooting
The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday afternoon in Algiers.
NEW ORLEANS, LA — New Orleans Police are investigating a shooting in Algiers on Tuesday afternoon. A man was reportedly shot in the 3600 block of MacArthur Boulevard, according to New Orleans Police Department spokeswoman Dawne Massey. No further details were available and NOPD continues to investigate.
In 2017, New Orleans has seen more than 365 people killed or wounded by gunfire, or about two per day on average, according to The Times-Picayune.
