Augusta Fire On Mt. Vernon Avenue

Augusta firefighters responded to 94 Mt. Vernon Avenue for a large fire April 24, 2017.

AUGUSTA, ME — A large fire broke out at an Augusta apartment building Monday afternoon. The fire at 94 Mt. Vernon Avenue was first reported at about 3:10 p.m. It was immediately unclear if anyone was hurt. The road was closed as crews responded to the scene.

"We are asking people to seek alternative routes," police said in a statement.
