A nor'easter will hit Maine Thursday, bringing up to a foot of snow, 50 mph wind and negative wind chill values.

AUGUSTA, ME — A nor'easter will barrel through Maine Thursday, bringing 8-12 inches of snow, 50 mph wind and wind chill values as low as -10.

A winter storm warning is in effect through Friday morning. The snow is expected to start Thursday around 7 a.m. and quickly intensify before noon. Heavy snow will continue through the evening commute. Icing is likely on roads and temperatures will plummet to near zero at night.

Southern and eastern parts of the state will see the most snow.
