BROOKLYN PARK, MD — Discount grocery chain Lidl will close two Maryland locations in the coming days, including a store in Anne Arundel County, a company spokesperson confirmed Wednesday.

The German grocer, which operates stores in several U.S. states, will close locations in Brooklyn Park and Oxon Hill on Sunday. According to a Lidl US spokesperson, the stores were "underperforming" and the company decided to close them to focus on locations that are experiencing "significant growth."

The Brooklyn Park store is located at 5722 Ritchie Highway.
