Montgomery County Under Wind Advisory on Monday

Scattered power outages, tree line damage are possible Monday, the National Weather Service advises.

With warmer temperatures moving in, you may have brought your patio furniture outside. Now, authorities are saying you might want to secure it.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisoryMonday from noon to midnight, with gusts up to 50 mph anticipated in these areas: Allegany, Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Harford, Howard and Montgomery counties.

Power lines and tree limbs may come down, and those driving high-profile vehicles may have difficulties, weather officials say.

To report power outages in Montgomery County, BG&E customers should call 1-877-778-2222; First Energy customers call 1-888-544-4877; or PEPCO customers call 1-877-737-2662.

The strongest winds will come in waves, the first of which will be midday, followed by another round in the late afternoon through the evening hours, according to the weather service.
