'Yappy Hour' Dog Park Pop-Up To Feature Food, Fun

Free admission allows pet owners to enjoy live music, food and drinks while friendly dogs play in enclosures.

BETHESDA, MD – Playful pets and their parents can soon indulge in an afternoon of food, drinks, local live music and outdoor fun during Bethesda Urban Partnership and Montgomery Parks' "Yappy Hour."

That's right, on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m., dogs large and small will flock to Elm Street Park in downtown Bethesda to kick back and take in the sights, sounds, activities and flavors of early fall.

Downtown restaurants Smoke BBQ and Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery will sell favorites from their menus along with select beer and wine options. Meanwhile, local musicians Angie Miller and Meg Murray will provide entertainment.

Admission to Yappy Hour is free, and attendees can rest easy knowing their pets are safely playing with other dogs their own size in secure enclosures.

Metered parking is available in the Willow Lane & Leland Street surface lot at 7100 46th Street in Bethesda.
