String Of Howard County Armed Robberies, Thefts, Assault Linked To Baltimore Man: Police

A Baltimore man has been arrested in connection a string of armed robberies, thefts and an assault that happened across Howard County: HCPD.

The Howard County Police Department reports that Andre Thomas Duffie has been charged with three counts each of armed robbery and robbery, and four counts each of second-degree assault and theft. Additional charges are pending, the department stated.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A 52-year-old Baltimore man has been charged in connection to a string of robberies, assaults and thefts that happened across Howard County.

The Howard County Police Department reports that Andre Thomas Duffie has been charged with three counts each of armed robbery and robbery, and four counts each of second-degree assault and theft. Additional charges are pending, the department stated.

On May 3 around 7:20 p.m., police say Duffie went to the Royal Farms in the 7100 block of Montevideo Road in Jessup, indicated he had a weapon, then stole cash and cigarettes before taking off.

On May 5 around 1:30 a.m. and again at 5:51 p.m., employees at the same store reported a man police believe was Duffie walked into the store with his face partially covered, indicated he had a weapon, then took off without stealing anything, according to police.

On May 4 around 12:47 p.m., police say Duffie went to the Royal Farms in the 8700 block of Centre Park Drive in Columbia with his face partially covered, indicated he had a weapon, then stole cash and cigarettes. The next day around 5:30 p.m., police say Duffie returned to the store with his face partially covered, indicated he had a weapon then left without stealing anything.

Also on May 5 around 5:53 p.m., police say Duffie went to the CVS Pharmacy in the 7600 block of Port Capital Drive in Jessup with his face partially covered, indicated he had a weapon, then took off without stealing anything.
