Increased Traffic On Broken Land Parkway Drives Reconfiguration

There will be signage alerting drivers to the changing traffic pattern in Town Center.

COLUMBIA, MD — Things will look a bit different this week along Broken Land Parkway. Due to traffic that continues to increase in Town Center, officials say that the intersection at Twin Rivers Road will be changed to a four-way stop.

Public works crews will add a stop sign in each direction at the intersection of Broken Land Parkway and Twin Rivers Road to create a new traffic pattern.

The change is necessary to improve safety for people turning at the intersection, according to Howard County government, which reported recent studies indicated that traffic volume was continuing to increase.
