ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks’ project to perform drainage repairs at both ends of the Oakland Mills pedestrian tunnel in Columbia, located under the roadway between Dasher Court and Downdale Place, is expected to begin on or about today, September 25. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be complete by mid-October.

During construction hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the tunnel will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists. Informational signage and detour maps will be posted and available south of Summer Rambo Court on the pathway and north of the tunnel entrance on Oakland Mills Road by the sidewalk.
