Port-a-Potty Crash Cleared From Route 32: Report

A crash reportedly involving port-a-potties blocked two major roads on Thursday morning; hours were required for cleanup.

A vehicle fire closed two highways in Maryland Thursday morning. It happened on westbound Route 32 along the bridge over MD 295 in Anne Arundel County.

The fire broke out before 10:30 a.m., according to the Maryland State Highway Administration.

The truck had been transporting port-a-potties until it crashed into a guard rail and concrete barrier on MD 32, then caught fire and spilled diesel fuel, according to WBAL. The news station reported the driver was taken to the hospital and was in "good condition."

Southbound MD 295 had reopened after 11 a.m., state highway officials said, noting up to two additional hours were required for cleanup on MD 32.
