Stormwater Management Pond Project Starts This Week In Howard County

A stormwater management pond project kicked off this week and should wrap up by late February 2024.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A construction project to repair and improve a stormwater management pond adjacent to 2041 Eliza Dorsey Lane in Ellicott City started this week.

The project will include the replacement of the existing principal spillway barrel and riser with a reinforced concrete spillway barrel and riser. Weather permitting, the project should wrap up by late February 2024.

The project is not expected to impact the flow of traffic. The project is partially funded through the county’s Watershed Protection and Restoration Fund.
