Tractor-Trailer Fire Stalls Traffic On I-95 In Howard County

BREAKING: Drivers should avoid the area of I-95 south before MD 32, Howard County fire and rescue officials advise.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Authorities say a tractor-trailer fire broke out on Interstate 95 south in Howard County Thursday afternoon. The fire was under control, and officials were at the scene on I-95 south before the exit for MD 32.

Southbound traffic was backed up to MD 175, with authorities stating the right lane and shoulder were closed after 1:30 p.m.

The Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, which reported it responded to the fire along with Maryland State Police, advised drivers to avoid the area.
