GoFundMe Created For Teen Fatally Shot At Columbia Mall

A GoFundMe has been created to help with memorial expenses for the teen fatally shot at The Mall in Columbia.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A GoFundMe has been launched to help the family of a 17-year-old fatally shot at The Mall in Columbia last month.

Howard County Police said Angelo Little 17, of Columbia, was targeted in the shooting that happened July 27 at 6:10 p.m. in the food court area of the mall. Officers who arrived at the mall after receiving a call about a shooting found Little dead on the scene. They evacuated people from the mall, which was fully cleared by 9 p.m., the police department stated.

Police have released images of the suspected shooter. The reward for information in the shooting also has increased to $7,500.

"Angelo Little was a funny, energetic young man who was always ready to care for the people he loved. Known for his willingness to take on any challenge, Angelo had a unique way of brightening the lives of those around him. While he might not have been as funny as he thought he was, his attempts at comedy were always successful in making everyone laugh," the GoFundMe reads.

"Angelo’s spirit and love for life touched many, and now we seek to honor his memory in the way he deserves. The loss of Angelo has been devastating for his family and friends. Beyond the emotional toll, the financial burden of funeral expenses is overwhelming. As the family navigates this painful period, we hope to alleviate some of the stress by helping cover the costs of his burial," the GoFundMe said. "His sudden passing has left a void in our hearts that can never be filled. Angelo’s spirit and love for life touched many, and now we seek to honor his memory in the way he deserves."
