Did You Buy A Lottery Ticket In Cecil County? You Could Be A Millionaire

A lottery player scored $1 million playing Mega Millions in Cecil County, according to the Maryland Lottery.

RISING SUN, MD — A Mega Millions player who purchased a ticket on May 21 at a gas station in Rising Sun has won $1 million, according to the Maryland Lottery.

The $1 million Mega Millions ticket came from Star Gas Mart at 207 West Main Street in Rising Sun, according to the Maryland Lottery. Officials said the prize has not been claimed yet as of Tuesday, May 31.

The winning numbers for the May 24 drawing are as follows: 3, 5, 6, 63 and 68 with a mega ball of 25.

Statewide, authorities reported 38 players won or claimed prizes of $10,000 or more last week, including the Cecil County player.

For the Mega Millions drawing, Maryland had 12,496 winners, whose prizes ranged from $2 to $1 million, according to lottery officials.

The winner should sign the back of the ticket for safekeeping and redeem the money from the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore, open by appointment only.
