17 Can't Miss Havre de Grace Halloween Events

Here's a list of all the Halloween events in Havre de Grace this October, from pumpkin carving at the decoy museum to the Halloween parade.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — There's a trove of Halloween events coming up this month in Havre de Grace. From spooky tours to the celebrated Havre de Grace Halloween Parade and downtown trick-or-treat, there's plenty of fun for all ages in October.

Here are some of the highlights:

"The Shining"

A screening of the eerie film is slated for 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the Cultural Center at the Opera House. Tickets are $6.

Havre de Haunts Tours and Paranormal Research

Take a trip into the haunted history of Havre de Grace. Tickets are $13 in advance and $14 at the door or $10 for children and military. Children under 5 years old are free.

"Ghostbusters"

The film will be screened from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Cultural Center at the Opera House. Tickets are $5 to $6.

"Monsters Inc."

The 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20. Kids under 13 are free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets for adults are $6.

The Harford Center's 3rd Annual Ghoul Roast

This fundraiser is Halloween-themed and offers a costume contest, all-you-can-eat and drink and live music. It will be from 7-11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Richlin Ballroom. Tickets are $55.

HdG Ambulance Corps Trunk Or Treat

Members of the ambulance corps will decorate their trunks and fill them with goodies for trick or treaters. Kids can come in costume for trick or treating from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Trunk Or Treat

The Havre de Grace Housing Authority is sponsoring this event at Somerset Manor, which is from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. It is free for kids and families.

Murder Mystery Dinner Cruise

All aboard the Black Eyed Susan Riverboat for a Whodunit orchestrated by The Fowl Players of Perryville. The cruise is from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. Tickets are $68.

Forest Hill Dance and The Danse Macabre present “Scarecracker”

This modern-day spin on "The Nutcracker" comes just in time for Halloween. The performance will be from 8-10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27, and 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Cultural Center at the Opera House. Tickets are $12-$17.

Halloween Costume Party

Party at the American Legion from 8 p.m.-midnight on Saturday, Oct. 27. There will be prizes for best costume.

Howl-O-Ween Tails and Treats Pet Fest and Parade

Gather at the Concord Point Lighthouse from noon-5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, for a celebration of costumed pets.

Carve & Candy at the Decoy Museum

Paint a pumpkin with a decoy carver from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum, and trick or treat through the museum. Cost is $5.

Blood Feast (Film Not Rated)

Watch the spooky film from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, at the Cultural Center at the Opera House. Tickets are $5 to $6.

Trick Or Treating Downtown

The businesses in downtown Havre de Grace welcome trick-or-treaters from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Halloween Parade

Sponsored by the Havre de Grace Recreation Committee, the parade starts at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, on Washington at Congress Avenue. Registration for the parade starts at 6 p.m. that day.

Two Thousand Maniacs

Watch the film from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Cultural Center at the Opera House.

Color Me Blood Red

Watch the film from 7-9 p.m. at the Cultural Center at the Opera House on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
