3 Sheds, Fencing Damaged By Burning Leaves Escaping Fire Ring In Havre De Grace: Official

An official said 2 sheds owned by Christ the King Church, a 3rd shed on another property and shared fencing all were damaged in a fire.

According to the State Fire Marshal's Office, the owner at 404 Webb Lane was burning leaves and debris in a fire ring when winds blew the leaves into multiple backyards of neighbors' homes around 3:15 p.m.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Two sheds belonging to Christ the King Church and fencing shared by several property owners were damaged in a fire that happened Tuesday afternoon.

According to the State Fire Marshal's Office, the owner at 404 Webb Lane was burning leaves and debris in a fire ring when winds blew the leaves into multiple backyards of neighbors' homes around 3:15 p.m. It took 20 firefighters with the Susquehanna Hose Company around 15 minutes to put out the fire, according to the fire marshal's office.

The fire caused what the fire marshal's office described as moderate damage to two sheds on the church's property, a third shed on another property and wooden fencing. Damage has been estimated at $5,000.
