The Bayou Restaurant Inventory Hits Auction Block

The equipment and furniture inside a now-shuttered Havre de Grace restaurant are for sale.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — While the Bayou Restaurant has closed its doors, the remaining inventory is being auctioned off.

Lou and Terri Ward closed the Route 40 restaurant in Havre de Grace Dec. 23 after owning it for nearly 40 years.

On Wednesday, PA Auction Center is selling the items inside. Ice machines, a walk-in refrigerator, convection oven, frying pans, folding tables and other items are among those for sale.

The Bayou was established in 1949 and had been owned by the Wards since 1982, according to the auctioneer.

"Now you have the opportunity to purchase quality used equipment, supplies, furniture and all other contents of the restaurant, kitchen & banquet room," according to PA Auction Center.
