EVENING BIRD WALK & CONCERT

Wed., October 13 at 5:00 PM

Join Prof. Colleen Webster for evening birding along the Havre de Grace Promenade and grounds of the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum. Colleen is a local birder and English professor at Harford Community College. We will be meeting in front of the museum at about 5:00 PM. (There will be a limited number of binoculars available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own.) Walk along the water and identify residential and migrating birds and butterflies.

At around 5:30, we will come back to the Museum for a concert by Terry Hermsen. Terry is a poet, activist and songwriter dedicated to bringing the attention of art to transformative change in how we treat the planet and each other. He has released an album, Dance Floor at the End of Time: Songs for a Regenerative Earth, songs from which he will be performing outside in a casual outdoor setting. The 18 interlocking songs off the album are a celebration of love, creatureliness and the Earth, while recognizing the plight we’re in and imagining regenerative worlds that may arise out of crisis. Donations accepted for a tree-planting campaign Terry is involved with in Central Ohio.
