HARFORD COUNTY, MD — In recognition of May as National Historic Preservation Month, Harford County encourages residents to visits the historic places in the area.

The #HarfordLovesHistoricPreservation social media campaign aims to spark year-round conversations about preservation and the importance of local history, officials said.

Residents are encouraged to download a sign from the county website to hold for photos they're asked to tag and share on social media platforms. Residents also can also find suggestions of historic landmarks online.

“Preserving historic locations throughout the county is important in keeping our rich history alive for generations to come,” Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly said. “I encourage citizens to take time to explore some of the many historic sites and share your experience with us through your photos.”
