Coach ​James "Jim" Wolbert, 55

The longtime Havre de Grace coach will be remembered with a celebration of life.

James "Jim" Wolbert died on April 7. He was 55.

Known to many at Havre de Grace High School as "Coach Jim," Wolbert guided soccer, baseball, football and wrestling students over the course of 20 years, according to his obituary.

"For nine years, our wrestling team was fortunate enough to be in his presence, and the mark he left will be felt by many for a very long time. Goodbye Coach!" the Havre de Grace Warriors Varsity Wrestling posted on Facebook. "The world lost a truly incredible man....He was a leader, mentor, coach, and friend to so many kids throughout the years. "

He is survived by wife Terri; children Jenna, Jason and Justin; and grandchildren Logan, Bella, Lucy and Sadie. He was the son of Ed Wolbert Sr. and the late Ida Wolbert and brother to Lee Anne Sellare, Donna Wolbert, Ed Wolbert Jr., Michael Wolbert, Michele Wolbert, Frank Wolbert and Eugene "Bean" Wolbert, his obituary states.

There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. and a celebration of life at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at St Matthew Lutheran Church, 1200 Churchville Road, Bel Air, MD 21014.
