Darlington Independence Day Parade And Fireworks Schedule

DARLINGTON, MD — Havre de Grace celebrates the Fourth of July early, and in Darlington the festivities start even earlier. The Havre de Grace Independence Day Celebration will take place on Sunday, July 1.

The Darlington Fourth of July events are set for Saturday, June 30.

A parade down Main Street to Shuresville Road will be followed by fireworks in Francis Silver Park in Darlington for the occasion. Entertainment and family friendly contests are planned after the parade, and food will be for sale, organizers say.

Here is the schedule for the Darlington Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, June 30:

• 4 p.m.: Parade lineup at at Route 1 weigh station
• 5:30 p.m.: Parade from Main Street to Shuresville Road to Francis Silver Park
• 9:15 p.m.: Fireworks at Francis Silver Park, 2124 Shuresville Road

Harford County officials advise these roads will be closed from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30:

Castleton Road will be closed from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, between Darlington Volunteer Fire Company and MD 161.

Main Street/MD 161 will be closed between Castleton Road and Shuresville Road from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30.

Shuresville Road between MD 161 and Francis Silver Park) will be closed beginning at 5:30 p.m. for approximately 2 hours due to the parade.

The Havre de Grace Independence Day Celebration is set for Sunday, July 1.

The Bel Air Fourth of July happenings are slated for Wednesday, July 4.
