Havre de Grace Football Moves On To Regional Finals

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Havre de Grace is once again headed for the regional championship. For the third year in a row, the Warriors football team will play for the 1A East regional title.

The top-seeded Warriors defeated No. 4 Colonel Richardson High School Friday night, 56-6, in Havre de Grace during the the 1A East regional football semifinals for the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association.

The Warriors are aiming for a "three-peat," after two consecutive years as regional champs. The regional playoff will be next week at home, according to Havre de Grace.

Here are updates from Warriors Athletics from the semifinals:

  • Colonel Richardson scored with 3 minutes left.
  • The score was 56-0 with 9 minutes left.
  • The score was 21-0 after kicker Clay Harris landed his third extra point of the game, with 8:34 left in the second quarter.
  • At the end of the first quarter, the Warriors led, 14-0.
  • Warriors kicked off to begin the game.

Havre de Grace will host Bo Manor for the regional finals at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17.
