HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — A Virginia man who ran from coast to coast traveled through Havre de Grace this week on one of the final stretches of his journey.

Mike Wardian, known as an "ultra marathon runner," was in Havre de Grace two months after starting his run in San Francisco on May 1, according to WUSA. He kicked into high gear at the Conowingo Dam, running to Rehoboth Beach, Del., where he finished his trek around 6 a.m. on Friday.

Wardian is raising money through his run for World Vision International, which provides drinking water for people around the globe. His goal was to raise $100,000; and as of Friday morning, he had raised nearly $106,000. Here is the donation page.
