Here's Why Traffic Was Tangled On The Tydings Bridge Saturday

Several vehicles crashed on the Tydings Bridge Saturday morning, causing major delays around Havre de Grace.

CECIL COUNTY, MD — Multiple vehicles crashed on the Tydings Bridge Saturday morning, officials said. Traffic was tangled for more than an hour as a result.

Eight vehicles were involved in one crash on Interstate 95 north near mile marker 91.4 at 10:50 a.m., according to state transportation authorities.

The Susquehanna Hose Company advised drivers to "expect major delays on I-95, with overflow traffic throughout Havre de Grace," in a statement after 11 a.m.

The two left lanes were closed on I-95 north on the Tydings Bridge, which connects Harford and Cecil counties via the interstate. Traffic was getting by on the right.

Vehicles were backed up past Lapidum Road near Havre de Grace as of 11:15 a.m.

By 12:10 p.m., the Maryland Transportation Authority reported all lanes had reopened.
