Sharon Elaine Trexler, 73, Of Havre de Grace

A woman who lived in Havre de Grace for more than 40 years died recently.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Sharon Elaine Trexler of Havre de Grace died June 26. The Alliance Street resident was 73.

Sharon lived in Havre de Grace for 45 years, during which time she worked for many years at Frank's Shoes and Joseph's Department Store. Before she retired, she had been employed at the VA at Perry Point.

In addition to tending her flower garden, Sharon loved cats, hosting a Fourth of July cookout, reading and collecting. Her collections included rocking horses, bears and recently frogs.

She also had a passion for reading and could zoom through a novel in a day, according to relatives.

Sharon is survived by her sweetheart, dear friend and partner, Melvin Brill; her son Patrick J. Trexler (ret. U.S. Navy); daughter Amy J. White and husband Paul W. White; and sister Janice Stevenson and her husband Jay Stevenson. She is also survived by grandchildren Jeremy, Jason, Jacob and Amanda; nieces Heather and Erin; and great-grandchildren Payton and TJ.

When she passed away, Sharon was peaceful and had her children by her side.
