Tydings Bridge Backups Clear After Vehicle Becomes Disabled

A disabled vehicle slowed traffic Wednesday morning around the Tydings Bridge.

A vehicle that became disabled on the Tydings Bridge slowed traffic Wednesday morning in the area for more than an hour.

The vehicle became disabled on I-95 north at mile marker 91 after 5 a.m., according to state transportation officials.

As of 6:40 a.m., the two right lanes and right shoulder were closed on I-95 north, with traffic getting by in the left lane, authorities reported.

By 6:50 a.m., officials said the incident had been cleared.

Drivers have another reason to exercise caution in the area — a dense fog advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. for much of Maryland, including Harford and Cecil counties, due to hazardous driving conditions.

Drivers are advised to use headlights, slow down and keep extra distance between vehicles because of low visibility. According to the advisory, visibility is 0.25 mile or less in dense fog.
