Winds May Lead To Marine Warnings In HdG: National Weather Service

Severe weather is possible on Monday in Havre de Grace, forecasters said.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Due to the threat of severe weather, the National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for Maryland waters and the Interstate 95 corridor on Monday.

Thunderstorms with powerful winds are possible Monday afternoon, forecasters said.

This could lead to special marine warnings, according to the National Weather Service.

These areas are under the hazardous weather outlook: the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay, tidal Potomac River and I-95 corridor through central Maryland, northern Virginia, and D.C. Havre de Grace and Harford County are included in the outlook area.

Monday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 a.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 83. West wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between 0.1 and 0.25 inch, with higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. North wind 3 to 8 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78 and low around 59. Northwest wind around 6 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 83 and low around 63. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 87 and low around 67.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 91 and low around 72.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 90 and low around 69. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Sunday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
