Christmas 2014: What's Open and Closed in Prince George's County

Turn on the yule log, grab some hot chocolate, and don’t skimp on the whipped cream because Christmas is almost here!

Prince George’s County stores and services will put business on pause in recognition of the holiday.

Christmas Day is Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014.

These Bowie businesses will be on the following Dec. 25 schedules:

• ALDI, 6810 Race Track Road: CLOSED
  • Open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Christmas Eve
• BJ’s, 16520 Ballpark Road: CLOSED
  • Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve
• Bowie Town Center, 15606 Emerald Way: CLOSED
  • Open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve
• Crescent Beer & Wine, 15222 Old Chapel Road: OPEN 9 a.m. to depending on traffic
  • Open 9 a.m. to depending on traffic Christmas Eve
• Five Below, 3855 Evergreen Parkway: CLOSED
  • Open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve
• Pier 1 Imports, 4410 Mitchellville Road: CLOSED
  • Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve
• Walgreens, 15990 Annapolis Road: OPEN 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Christmas Eve

The following services will not operate on Christmas and will resume on Dec. 26:

• Prince George’s County Click 3-1-1

The following will be closed on Christmas AND Dec. 26:

• All city offices
• Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill
• Brown Station Road Public Convenience Center
• Electronics Recycling Acceptance Site
• Household Hazardous Waste Acceptance Site
• Missouri Avenue Solid Waste Acceptance and Recycling Center
• Prince George’s County Yard Waste Composting Facility
• Trash Collection in County Contracted Areas (next collection will be on the regularly scheduled day)
• Bulky Trash Collection
• Curbside Recycling Collection (next collection will be on the regularly scheduled day)
