GLENARDEN, MD — Homicide detectives from the Prince George's County Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Thursday night in the City of Glenarden, according to a police release. Police identified the the deceased victim as Curtis Jerron Stevenson, 29, of the Woodlawn area.

Around 9:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Reed Street for the report of a shooting. They found Stevenson suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, but succumbed to his injuries two days later.

Following a preliminary investigation, detectives believe the shooting was not a random crime. They are working to establish a motive and identify of possible suspects.
