Grocery Chain ALDI Plans Hiring Events in PG County

Two ALDI grocery stores in Prince George’s County are holding hiring events this month, with the wages billed as higher than the national average.

Potential employees may apply for jobs on Thursday, Sept. 24. Opportunities within ALDI include store associate positions that start at $12 an hour.

The hiring events for jobs at the stores in Brandywine and Lanham run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. that day. The Brandywine store is located at 7500 Albert Road; the Lanham store is at 9343 Annapolis Road.

Job requirements are:

• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be available to work any time between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday-Sunday
• Retail experience preferred
• Drug screening and background check
• Ability to lift 45 pounds

The company says employee wages and benefits are higher than the national average for the retail industry. Employees who average more than 25 hours a week are eligible for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage. All employees are invited to participate in the 401(k) program.
