Update: Police Identify Langley Park Fatal Stabbing Victim

Update May 21, 1:40 p.m.: Prince George's County Police released the name of the deceased victim in connection with the Wednesday morning fatal stabbing in Langley Park. The victim was identified as Armando Ruiz Calderon, 22, of Elkridge, Maryland.

LANGLEY PARK, MD — Prince George's County Police Department homicide detectives are investigating a fatal stabbing that took place early Wednesday morning inside a Langley Park home, according to a police release.

Around 1:45 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the report of a stabbing at a residence in the 8100 block of 15th Avenue in Langley Park. Arriving on the scene, they found an adult male suffering from a stab wound. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. Police are working to identify the victim and will notify family members once the victim has been identified.

Following a preliminary investigation, detectives determined this was not a random incident.
