Mother's Day Poster Creates Buzz

A beautiful poster celebrating Mother’s Day created lots of buzz and interest at Renaissance Square Artists Housing this past weekend. The poster, creation of Pepe Piedra, a Peruvian-born visual artist and musician, gave residents a chance to share feelings about their mothers.

Piedra, an artist at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, is a Hyattsville resident and founding member of the newly emergent HArt Collective.

The HArt Collective, a group of highly energized and creative artists, will present their first showcase the last weekend in June. In addition to their performance, they will offer beginner and advanced classes for kids and adults in the Hyattsville community.
