M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George's County Holiday Schedule

Riverdale, MD The Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County, part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, holiday schedule for the Christmas and New Year holidays includes facility closures on Friday, December 24 and Saturday, December 25, and on Friday, December 31, and Saturday, January 1, 2022. Venues booked for rental are exceptions.

Facilities open to the public include:

  • Parks and playgrounds (close at sunset)
  • Trails
  • Bladensburg Waterfront Park (trails and grounds open; park office closed)
  • Clyde Watson boat ramp (owners, no rentals)
  • Winter Festival of Lights at Watkins Regional Park

Visitors must wear face coverings at all times. Park visitors are encouraged to bring their own wipes and hand sanitizer and clean their hands before and after use of shared surfaces such as benches and playground equipment.
