Prince George's County Sheriff: Deputies Arrest 1st Degree Assault Suspect

Police learned that Marshall Jr. alongside a second suspect allegedly approached the victim's vehicle, displaying a firearm.

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Shawn Anthony Marshall Jr. on July 26, 2021, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by county police on July 7, 2021.

According to the warrant, on June 29th, police were flagged down in reference to a citizen armed robbery. Police learned that Marshall Jr. alongside a second suspect allegedly approached the victim’s vehicle, displaying a firearm and made demands for the victim’s property. In fear, the victim complied with Marshall Jr’s demands. Marshall Jr. and the second suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

On July 26, deputies determined that Marshall Jr. could be located at an address in the 10000 block of Bald Hill Rd. in Bowie, MD. Deputies knocked on the door, and a resident answered and allowed them to enter the home. Deputies identified Marshall Jr. inside, where he was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the custody of the Prince George’s County Police Department, without incident.

Marshall Jr. is also charged with Armed Robbery, Firearm Use in a Felony, Robbery, Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Theft $1,500 To Under $25,000, Handgun on Person and Handgun in Vehicle.
