$1 Kid-Friendly Movies Return To Regal Waugh Chapel Theater

Kid favorites like "Sing," "How to Train Your Dragon 2" and others featured during $1 movie mornings at the Waugh Chapel Regal Cinema.

GAMBRILLS, MD — Wondering what to do with the kiddos all summer? Regal Cinema is bringing back its popular $1 movies across the country this summer, featuring kid favorites like flicks from the “Despicable Me” and “LEGO” franchises, as well as many others.

The $1 Summer Movie Express films will be shown at 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at the Waugh Chapel Regal Cinema in Gambrills.

Knoxville, Tennessee-based Regal has been offering the deeply discounted movies since 1991 to “foster a love of moviegoing in each new generation,” according to a statement.

Regal operates 7,310 screens in 559 theaters in 43 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Saipan and American Samoa. The chain also has theaters in Bowie, Hyattsville and Hunt Valley.
