Anne Arundel Archers To Host Archery Lessons In September

There will be one-hour sessions for three age groups for five consecutive weeks.

Anne Arundel Archers in Gambrills Maryland will be hosting the Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks archery lessons starting Saturday, September 10, 2022. There will be one hour sessions for three age groups for five consecutive weeks. Ages 8-10, 11-14, and 15 to adult. The archery equipment will be supplied to registered students including a correctly sized recurve bow, arrows, an arm guard and finger tabs if required. Or, the students are welcome to bring their own equipment if it is safe and serviceable. Registration and fees for the lessons are completed through the county Recs and Parks website in the athletics division and can be easily found with an 'activity search.'

The lessons will be taught by Anne Arundel Archery club certified instructors and volunteers. Anne Arundel Archers is a non-profit club maintained by its members and dedicated to the sport of archery in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, as a state allied organization of the Maryland Archery Association (MAA). Their mission is to promote and foster a strong family atmosphere and athletic participation, competition, and instruction in the sport of archery open to everyone involved in all capability, style, and disciplines of archery including field, hunter, and 3-D. Their goal is to provide a fun and safe place to participate in archery. If you’re interested in learning or shooting archery, we encourage you to visit. The Archery range is located on Route 3 South, just before the Crofton Princess Center, at the Patuxent River Conways Park, 1188 MD-3, Gambrills, MD 21054 and is open every day dawn to dusk.
