GAMBRILLS, MD β€” A recent explicit music video appears to have been filmed inside Arundel High School in Gambrills.

The school will get a new principal next month. Officials said the change in leadership isn't related to the video, which uses profanity while rapping about sex. The video also shows female dancers wearing revealing clothing while vaping.

"We are aware of the video, which appears to have been recorded inside the school, and are investigating," Anne Arundel County Public Schools spokesperson Bob Mosier told Patch in a Thursday email. "At this time, no current students have been identified in the video."

The song, "Wanna Be Remix ft. Big Winnn," is performed by Rogue Boys. The video was uploaded to YouTube on April 25. It had more than 20,000 views by Thursday afternoon.

"We are not rappers," a disclaimer at the beginning of the music video said. "No one was hurt in the making of this video and everything was for educational purposes."

Mosier didn't answer Patch's questions about how the rappers could have gained access to Arundel High or if the school staff participated in any way. No bystanders are seen in the video, meaning it may have been filmed outside school hours.

"Your principal let us in after hours," the Rogue Boys account wrote in the comments section beneath the video.

"Aye the principal knew what was happening," the Rogue Boys account wrote in another comment.

AACPS confirmed that Arundel High Principal Gina Davenport won't return to the school this fall. Davenport's next assignment has not yet been determined.

Current Marley Middle School Principal Kimberly Winterbottom will soon take the helm at Arundel.

Mosier said principals are regularly shuffled between schools. He said this move is unrelated to the video and that the switch happened alongside other staffing changes.

Patch contacted Davenport for comment, but she referred questions to Mosier.

"Principal moves between schools occur annually, most often in the spring," Mosier said.
"Mrs. Winterbottom's appointment to Arundel High School was presented to the board for its information at its May 1 meeting, along with many other appointments. Her appointment, which takes effect on June 26, is not connected in any way to the video issue."

This was the first music video for Rogue Boys, though they have hinted at a potential for more songs. Their channel has 27 full-length videos and 18 shorts dating back to March 2023. Most of the videos are about blind dates, and many have sexual undertones.

The channel has about 16,400 subscribers.

Patch contacted Rogue Boys for comment via Instagram, where the group has around 31,900 followers. Rogue Boys said they will only comment during an in-person interview. Patch is discussing the potential interview with the group.
