Back-To-School Shoe Drives Hosted By Basketball Clinic In Millersville
Two upcoming shoe drives in Anne Arundel County will help students who are returning to school. A basketball clinic is leading the effort.
MILLERSVILLE, MD — A youth basketball clinic will host two shoe drives this week in Anne Arundel County. The group, named Pure Goaled, will then donate the shoes to students who are returning to school.
The drives are scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 11 p.m. Both collections will happen in Millersville at the Benfield Sportscenter, located at 1031 Benfield Blvd.
"We could really use your help in bringing lightly worn kids shoes size 11c to 7Y as we will be donating them to families in need just in time for the new school year," Pure Goaled said on Facebook. "Let’s get together and make something right."

Pure Goaled teaches basketball skills to children ages 4 to 12. Donors will get a chance to watch the group in action while dropping off shoes.
