Fire Burns 2 Boats At Anne Arundel County Marina: Photos

A fire damaged two boats at a Glen Burnie marina. Here's a look inside the call.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Officials said a boat caught fire Tuesday at a Glen Burnie marina, officials said.

The blaze also caused minor damage to the adjacent slip and boat at the marina, the fire department said.

Nobody was hurt.

The Capital reported that the fire happened at Hand Brothers Marina.

Crews said they were called to a marina in the 7500 Block of Brightwater Beach Road around 11:15 a.m. That's located on Nabbs Creek.

First responders said they found a large boat tied to the end of a pier on fire.

Firefighters said they extinguished the blaze while also searching for possible occupants, but the boat was vacant.

A team of 55 controlled the flames within 10 minutes, The Capital reported.

The cause and area of origin are still under investigation.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department thanked the Baltimore City Fire Department and the Maryland Natural Resources Police for their assistance.
