LINTHICUM, MD — Four workers were suspended after a recent fight that injured one person at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, multiple reports said.

The unidentified suspended staff were all working at the Spirit Airlines ticket counters when the fight broke out last week, the reports said. The stories noted that the workers were contracted vendors, not direct Spirit employees.

TMZ on May 31 released video of what appears to be the fight. The tape seems to show one person approaching another and punching them in the face. Five people look to be involved in the skirmish. The apparent recording is posted here.

WMAR, The Baltimore Banner, FOX 5 DC and WJZ all confirmed the worker suspensions with Spirit. Spirit has not responded to Patch's two requests for comment. We will update this story if they reply.

"We do not tolerate violence of any kind, and we will take appropriate action as necessary following the completion of the vendor's investigation," Spirit said in a statement to the outlets.

The Maryland Transportation Authority Police said it was called to the Spirit Airlines ticket counters on May 28 around 4:15 p.m. for the altercation.

"All involved parties were provided with victims' rights and services information," MDTA Police Sgt. Brady McCormick told Patch in a Monday email.

McCormick said the injured person didn't go to the hospital. He declined to say if the people involved were airport workers or passengers. He does not know what caused the fight.

"This was a misdemeanor assault that occurred outside of police presence," McCormick wrote when asked if anybody was charged. "Anyone involved is able to file charges at the local commissioner's office. All involved parties were provided with information about this process."
