Chesapeake Bay Workcamp Returning to AACo in July 2019

Opportunity for homeowners to get FREE home repairs

For the fourth time since 2005, Group Workcamps, in conjunction with Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church, will send nearly 400 volunteers to work on homes from July 1 to 5, 2019. Repairs can include interior and exterior painting, roofing on one-story structures (no tear-offs), ramps, weatherization, and porch/step repair. The work is performed by high school students with adult leaders.

Qualifications include (1) within 30 minute drive of 8146 Quarterfield Road, (2) requestor is the owner of the home, (3) someone over 18 can be home during the work, (4) no safety concerns in the home, and (5) the homeowner does not have alternate means to have the work completed.

To apply or ask questions, please email [email protected] and or message our Facebook page and we will send you the details.

We are grateful to Heritage Community Church for providing the housing for this group. If other businesses would like to sponsor the camp or a specific project, please contact us. We are also looking for businesses in the area to offer the campers discounts on food and activities or to sponsor an afternoon or evening "snack event".

Anne Arundel County did a great job of welcoming this group in 2005, 2013, and 2015 and they provided about 14,000 volunteer hours in one week - help us make this week even better in 2019!
